I am swollen with the lives of others. The seams of my body begin to rupture. Now I invoke the Red Grail, who is the Mother of Mountains, who Consumes, who is the Source. One is here who loved me and whom perhaps I have loved, as perhaps the Red Grail loved the Thunderskin before his end. With this sacrifice, the invocation is both easier and more terrible. In Her Name I will give birth to myself. The Tricuspid Gate opens. I will be immortal: a Long, favoured of the Grail, and one who loved me will be remembered as long as I endure.
