I must go very carefully. The memories that I need to convey will take flight from the canvas if I depict them too strongly. I will find those memories in the flesh of the dead... and perhaps even, if I must, in my own dying flesh.
Ich muss sehr vorsichtig gehen. Die Erinnerungen, die ich schildern muss, fliehen von der Leinwand, wenn ich sie zu stark darstelle. Ich werde jene Erinnerungen im Fleische der Toten finden ... und vielleicht sogar, so ich denn muss, in meinem eigenen sterbenden Fleische.
我运笔必须非常小心。要是用力过重，我要表达的回忆会从画布上飞走。我会在亡者的肉体中寻见这些回忆，甚至也许，在我自己将死的肉体中。
Мне надо быть осторожнее. Воспоминания, что я хочу передать, улетучатся с холста, если я переусердствую. Эти воспоминания можно найти в плоти мертвецов... если понадобится, я использую даже собственную гибнущую плоть.
